Pumpkin Chess Pie

6 tbsp butter, softened
1 and 1/3 cup sugar
4 tsp corn meal
1 cup canned pumpkin
1/3 cup half and half
2 eggs, slight beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp cloves
1 regular size frozen pie shell, thawed
beat butter 30 seconds…add sugar and cornmeal and beat until combined.  add pumpkin, half and half, eggs, vanilla and spices, beat until just combined.  Pour into pie shell, bake 45-50 minutes at 350.
