Contest Dates for the Q99/Lynchburg Nissan Hi-Lo Money Machine are May 13, 2013 to June 21, 2013. For purposes of these rules, “The Contest” refers to the Q99/Lynchburg Nissan Hi-Lo Money Machine contest. The contest is open to legal residents of the United States of America, 18 years or older. Employees of WSLQ-Q99, Mel Wheeler, Inc., its advertising and promotional agencies, other radio stations and their immediate families and others living in their households are not eligible to win this contest. Only one winner per household per 90 days is permitted in Q99 contesting where the prize value is greater than 100 dollars. No one may win the Q99/Lynchburg Nissan Hi-Lo Money Machine contest more than once.
Five times every weekday (May 13, 2013 to June 21, 2013) during the hours of 7am, 9am, 12noon, 3pm and 5pm, Q99 will invite listeners to call the studio line to attempt to be the twentieth caller to guess the randomly-assigned jackpot amount. The disc jockey will answer the phone lines and ask the caller for a guess as to the exact jackpot amount, in whole dollars. The DJ will tell the caller if he/she is “high” or “low”. Certain calls will be broadcast on-air so all other listeners may play along in the contest. Each round will continue in this manner until a winner is determined. Upon determining a winner, the jackpot will be reset and a new round will begin the following weekday during the 7am hour.
Contestants will be allowed to play the contest multiple times, but may only be awarded the jackpot prize one time.
When participating in the Q99/Lynchburg Nissan Hi-Lo Money Machine contest, winning contestants will be required to identify themselves by stating their first and last name as well as their mailing address and daytime phone number. Note: if the amount won is more than $600 the winner will also need to provide their social security number because the station is required by law to send the winner a 1099 tax form. Social security numbers are used for identification & tax purposes only. Before releasing the prizes (in this case a check), Q99 will require additional proof of identity, such as a driver’s license, state identification card, passport or military identification.

In order for Q99 to comply with federal tax laws, each winner will be required to provide his/her Social Security number as a condition of receiving the prize. Winners acknowledge that if they enter this contest under a false, fictitious, or fraudulent name and/or Social Security number, they will be automatically disqualified from this contest and any future contests on Q99.
