The 2012 Dickens of a Christmas continues in downtown Roanoke starting at 6:00 PM on Friday, December 14th. The main event is Haley Toyota's City of Roanoke's Christmas Parade starting at 6:30 PM. The parade route begins at the corner of Elm Avenue and Jefferson Street (Elmwood Park) and continues north on Jefferson Street to Campbell Avenue, then east on Campbell to Market Street. The Q99/Valleydale Cafe' will be set up from 5:30-10:00 PM on Wall Street with Q-Bear. Come by and register to win a Christmas Feast that includes a mini-fridge stuffed with food. The festivities will continue into the night until 10PM including live stage and street performances! Other activities taking place throughout the night in the Historic Market area include carriage rides, live carolers, a magician, a fire eater and sword swallower, photos with Santa, a living nativity scene, and more!
