The 2013 SunTrust Dickens of a Christmas continues in downtown Roanoke starting at 6:00 PM on Friday, December 14th. The main event is Haley Toyota's City of Roanoke's Christmas Parade starting at 6:30 PM. The parade route begins at the corner of Elm Avenue and Jefferson Street (Elmwood Park) and continues north on Jefferson Street to Campbell Avenue, then east on Campbell to Market Street. The Q99/Gwaltney Cafe' will be set up from 5:30-10:00 PM on Wall Street with Q-Bear. Come by and register to win a Christmas Feast that includes a mini-fridge stuffed with food. The festivities will continue into the night until 10PM including live stage and street performances! Other activities taking place throughout the night in the Historic Market area include strolling St.Nicholas, carriage rides, street actors, chestnut roasting, stilt walking, a fire eater, a sword swallower, a magician, a face painter, juggler and Balloon Dude, photos with Santa, a living nativity scene on Campbell Avenue, McDonald's Kid Zone, Santa's Workshop presented by SunTrust at Center in the Square Atruim and more!
