“CHARITY CHEERLEADER” is a radio contest that listeners can enter into. The contest is open to all persons, with the exception of full or part-time employees and immediate families of WSLQ-FM, Salem Virginia Credit Union, their agencies, subsidiaries and representatives, participating sponsors and their advertising agencies, as well as other radio stations and members of their immediate families. The term “immediate families” shall include spouses, parents, children, grandparents, grandchildren and cohabitation significant others.

The contest is open to accept entries beginning Wednesday, January 23, 2013, (and will stop accepting entries on September 20, 2013) listeners can visit and click on the link for Charity Cheerleader, complete the form explaining who they are, what charity they are raising money for, and how they plan to raise money. Q99 along with Salem Virginia Credit Union will choose one person to be deemed the “Charity Cheerleader,” this individual’s charity and their specific way to raise money will be broadcast via Q99 on-air and the Q99 website. Salem Virginia Credit Union will match all the funds raised by this individual, up to $5,000. Q99 along with Salem Virginia Credit Union will choose one “Charity Cheerleader” per quarter, therefore four throughout 2013. If a certain individual does not raise up to $5,000 (which is the limit that Salem Virginia Credit Union will match), that money will roll over to the next individual’s charity.

Official rules will be available during regular business hours (weekdays between the hours of 8:00am and 5:30pm) at WSLQ-FM, 3934 Electric Road, Roanoke, Virginia24018or may be obtained by sending a self-addressed stamped legal envelope to WSLQ-FM at the above address. Envelopes received not conforming to specifications will not be honored or returned to sender. No purchase necessary to participate or win. Void where prohibited by law.

WSLQ-FM reserves the right to make changes or updates regarding rules of this promotion effective immediately upon on-air announcement of those changes.

Charities selected that received these monetary donations will be solely responsible for reporting and paying taxes on these donations wherever applicable. Monetary donations are non-transferable and may not be exchanged or sold.
